The Soulful Facilitator Prayer

When I was in seminary, writing my minister’s manual, I wrote this prayer for all Soul Facilitators. It is a prayer that I share at the beginning of many of the Soulful Facilitator experiences. I believe it offers the gifts of grounding, alignment to purpose, and serves as a call to action.

The challenges in our world continue to create a greater sense of uncertainty, instability, and division for many. These challenges are growing in complexity with less absolute answers. Facilitators, leaders, and change agents today are being asked hold space in light of these realities.

And facilitators are being asked to step into the uncertainty, instability, division, and complexity with a deepened sense of self where the ego is relaxed, where the need to perform is diminished, and we can hold a sense of calm in the midst of chaos. That we bring a true authenticity in the space that allows for vulnerability and honesty to exist easily in the room.

I offer the Soulful Facilitator’s Prayer to these courageous souls who are called to hold vulnerable space in these trying times.

Divine Creator, we ask that you bless the space we are about to create and hold as sacred

We ask that you give us the strength to hear all voices in the space 

We ask that you give us the courage to share our full power with all in the space

We ask that you allow us to hear your messages through our collective souls

We ask that you bring each of us your wisdom so it can be heard throughout the space

We ask that you bless this container so that we can authentically connect soul to soul

We ask that your light shines through each of us for true soul-inspired work  

We ask your blessing for whatever emerges in this space with your love, your light, and your wisdom
