The Power of Soulful Facilitation

As skilled educators, coaches, facilitators and change makers, many of us have spent most of our careers developing our competencies in the science of learning and facilitation. What our world yearns for now are the heart centered-facilitators who strive to master the art of facilitation. Many of us who have extensive experience in facilitation might be asking, what’s next or how do I take my craft to the next level?

What’s needed now is a heart-centered and soul-inspired approach to facilitating and holding space, what I call Soulful Facilitation. As the world continues to evolve, the holders of space for the critical conversations that are required for our future, will be asked to evolve as well. The ways we hold space across difference, in light of great uncertainty, and without the safeguards created by crumbling systems will require an evolved facilitator. A facilitator who is resilient, who has done their deep work, and who is soul-inspired with a deepened level of consciousness, compassion, and connection to the participants and spaces they serve.  The Soulful Facilitator will hold space for innovative collaboration, compassionate bridge building, redefining leadership models and paradigms, soul-inspired systems and structural rebuilding, and transforming cultures.

Imagine what becomes possible if facilitators were able to deepen their ability to hold sacred space and move the room, find their authentic and soulful voice as facilitator, bring a multimodal approach into the space that reflect their deeply held beliefs, and to elevate their level of creativity in their design of deep and transformative experiences. All while tapping into their deep intuitive knowing from a grounded and aligned place. Imagine what would happen in spaces, imagine how participants might connect, and imagine what types of solutions would be unearthed by creating a space for the collective wisdom to emerge.
